Distinctive Expeditions was born in 2008 by a local Naturalist Guide and Amateur Nature Photographer, Jeffrey Muñoz. His vision was to create a company, which would help people turn a simple trip to Costa Rica into one of their most amazing life experiences. With over 19 years of experience in the tourist industry of Costa Rica, Jeff loves to combine his knowledge of the country with his valuable

understanding of the needs of people when traveling. Distinctive Expeditions will cater to many different types of clients: families, groups of friends who want to have fun, adventure seekers, amateur photographers, nature lovers, adrenaline addicts, romantic couples, etc. Regardless of the size of the group, the number of days and what your specific interests are, we will design the perfect expedition for you. The mission of Distinctive Expeditions includes providing top quality customer service. In designing these amazing “Life Experiences” for clients, Jeff is dedicated to looking after every little detail during the planning of each personalized itinerary. Whenever possible, Jeff serves as the Private Naturalist Tour Guide for the groups during the stay in Costa Rica as well. When other groups have pre-booked Jeff’s guiding services, Distinctive Expeditions has a top five group of the Best Naturalist Tour Guides to enhance the trip. These guides not only have vast knowledge of Costa Rica to share but more importantly, are very personable, local friends who are completely dedicated to their profession. At Distinctive Expeditions we love making new friendships through the enjoyment of every selected location and activity in the itinerary! To that end, we believe that you will arrive as a guest but will leave Costa Rica as a new friend! That is our main goal and the reason Distinctive Expeditions exists.
