🦜 Meet the Golden-collared Manakin 🦜
Costa Rica is home to many beautiful birds, but the Golden-collared Manakin is something truly special! 🌿 With its vibrant yellow chest and energetic dance moves, this tiny bird puts on quite the show in our tropical forests.

✨ Fun Fact: Males perform flips and wing-snaps to impress the ladies, creating a sound as unique as their appearance! Their dances take place on a special stage called a “lek.”

Found in the lowland forests of the Caribbean side, this colorful species is a birdwatcher’s delight. Next time you’re exploring Costa Rica, keep your eyes peeled for this little performer! 👀
