Minor Gonzalez
My name is Minor Alfonso Gonzalez Cordero and I was born in Cartago on 25/08/1966. I grew up on the Caribbean side of Costa Rica. In 1991 my stepfather, mother, and I came to this part of the country for a week and it is easy to say that this land is magic. I would like to say that it’s like being in a different country compared with the other 6 provinces of the Republic. On the way back home I decided to pack my luggage and return.
At the time of my return I spoke no English. I got my first job as a dishwasher at Flamingo Marina Resort. Six months later I became a sub chef. Over the next 10 years I also worked as a receptionist, waiter, and garden designer.
Major Tours came to my mind as an idea because I noticed that visitors were looking for better options while visiting. It was truly a good project to start an independent job and it has brought me a lot of joy. I have been doing tours now for around 20 years.
