Hello! To all visitors to our country, it is well known that winter has begun in most of our national territory, and we have rainy and very cloudy days. I will explain something that perhaps many visitors do not know about the coloration of beautiful waterfalls. As I mentioned before, in Costa Rica we have several waterfalls with beautiful colors, for example Tenorio Volcano National Park "Río Celeste", popular name for its color (proper name Buena Vista). This is due to an optical effect due to the scattering of sunlight. The combination of a whitish substance composed of (aluminum, silicon and oxygen) covers all the stones found at the bottom of the river and allows you to see their beautiful coloration. The same happens with other waterfalls of the same color, for example "Las Chorreras" on the slopes of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano, its coloration due to its minerals and sunlight. I will share an example with a photo.

"El Porvenir" In this beautiful tour we can find bird watching as well as other species: capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, spider monkeys, sloths and other species of reptiles. It is located just 1:05 minutes from the city of Liberia Guanacaste. Passing through the first Volcanic mountain range (Orosí Volcano and Rincón de la Vieja) as well as a beautiful viewpoint where you can see the Golfo de Santa Elena, one of the first to emerge magma to the earth's surface 80 million years ago. Due to its ancient origin it has great geological and natural wealth.
