Yesterday, we were supposed to return to Costa Rica, but their border remains closed, due to the COVID situation. In a month, their border will re-open to countries without widespread new cases, which likely means European countries and Canada. Hopefully, we will return in November.

Hola, amigos! Between the house renovations and all the insanity of these last few months, we had temporarily paused on updating our FB page. But with so much uncertainty around us, it seems like the perfect time to fill this page with some amazing Costa Rica photos.

When visiting CR, Lola's and Playa Avellanas are one of our favorite destinations. Sadly, their pet pig, Lo**ta, passed away last year, but now they have two new babies: Ave and Ana. Say the names together quickly and understand how perfectly they’re named.

Welcome to Playa Langosta, Costa Rica

Playa Langosta is a magical place. The beach is wild and unspoiled, wildlife is in abundance, and the people are friendly and relaxed. Our family has been escaping to Costa Rica for many years, and we’ve been sharing our vacation homes with travelers from all over the world since 2013.

In 2017, we purchased our first home and named it, Casa Puesta Del Sol, which means “The Sunset House.” We’ve enjoyed so many incredible memories with family, friends, locals, and guests. In late 2019, we jumped at the opportunity to purchase the adjacent twin house and begin a new chapter in our vacation rental business.

In 2020, while we continue to rent the original house, called Villa 1, we’ve undertaken a massive renovation project in Villa 2 and will formally make it available for rentals this spring. Owning both houses will also enable us to provide both houses -- 8 bedrooms in total -- for a fraction of other properties in the area.

This page will highlight our two amazing houses, but also serve as a place to learn about visiting Costa Rica, especially the Tamarindo and Langosta areas. It’s such a beautiful area, and we’ve accumulated thousands of photos, which we will share with our subscribers.
