The rainy season, known better as the Green Season, is a special time in Costa Rica. There are many opportunities that present themselves during this season, one of which is the Arribada or the arrival of the olive ridley sea turtle. Ostional Wildlife Refuge, as seen below, is the nesting site for 100s of thousands of turtles, from August through December. The best arrivals usually occur during the darkest nights, a few days before the new moon, between 8pm and 4am. The beach is about a 3.5 hour drive from Tamarindo, so we are a great place to start your journey to view this amazing experience first hand! 🔗 in the comments
