PACR was founded in 2005 by Jonathan Turcotte as a small Blog to keep family and friends informed of my Adventures in Paradise. My love and respect for Costa Rica and my passion for writing, marketing, and advertising quickly grew into PACR. Online Social Networking was on the rise in 2005, and I was in the

right place at the right time. Facebook was the most significant contributor to PACR's social network, and our fan page was getting likes, which was enough to help us grow in the right direction. TripAdvisor came quickly after, and our friends started telling others about PACR. Over the years, we made many friends with local Costa Rican guides and operators, and I decided it was time to use my experience to help Vacationers discover the true Costa Rican experience and give back to the gracious hosts of my travels. I met my partner, love, and best friend Sofia Back in 2009. Sofia added a new element to PACR: Costa Rican charm and local knowledge, ensuring PACR would continue to grow into what it is today. Over the next few years, we continued the search to find Costa Rica's most authentic experiences, contributing to their success and helping them compete with the changes in the travel market. With the added experience and options, PACR decided to offer the total package; lodging, transportation, and adventures. AirBnB was one of the best additions PACR has made in years. We were one of the first to discover AIrBnB for Costa Rica, which gave us a few years' head start needed to grow our reputation and secure PACR's presence for the years to come. Our Story

PACR was founded in 2005 by Jonathan Turcotte, started out as a small Blog to keep family and friends informed of my Adventures in Paradise. My love and respect for the country and passion for writing, marketing, and advertising quickly grew into PACR. Online Social Networking was on the rise back in 2005 and I happened to be in the right place at the right time. Facebook was the largest contributor to PACR's social network and our fan page was getting likes, enough to help us grow in the right direction. TripAdvisor came quickly after and our friends started letting others know what PACR is all about. Over the years I made many friends with local Costa Rican guides and operators and I decided it was time to use my experience to help Vacationers discover the true Costa Rican experience and give back to the gracious host of my travels. I met my partner, love and best friend Sofia Back in 2009. Sofia put PACR into a new element, she added the Costa Rican charm and local knowledge to insure PACR was going to be around and grow to what we are today. Over the next few years we continued the search to find Costa Rica's most authentic, UN-commercialized experiences, insuring the local businesses compete with the growth in large foreign investment in the Costa Rican tourism industry. (result of large ad campaigns and USD) PACR and many of our friends felt the effects of these heavily funded ads and to cope we decided to offer the total package; lodging, transportation, and adventures. At this point a good friend Frankly Shane, frequent visitor from New York asked a simple question "why are these cabins not on AIrBnB" That question shifted PACR into another level, Partnering with AirBnB was one of the best declensions PACR has made in years; we were one of the first to discover AIrBnB for Costa Rica and this gave us a few years head start needed to grow our reputation and secure PACR presence for the years to come.
