Enjoy the stunning Pacific Ocean and rainforest views from our two balconies, and do some world-class birdwatching!

Why are monkeys so important to the environment?

Monkeys are seed dispersers, and as such are integral for maintaining a balanced ecosystem by influencing ecological forest regeneration.

One of our main priorities at Casa Uvita is to keep our monkeys happy, by conserving the biological corridor and planting lots of trees!

¿Por qué los monos son tan importantes para el medio ambiente?

Los monos son dispersores de semillas y, como tales, son esenciales para mantener un ecosistema equilibrado al influir en la regeneración ecológica de los bosques.

Una de nuestras principales prioridades dónde Casa Uvita es mantener felices a nuestros monos, conservando el corredor biológico y plantando muchos árboles.

Great Curassow

This spectacle was happening just around the corner! The rainforest brings surprises every day! Two male Great Curassows (Crax rubra) trying to impress the lady in the tree. . . Baby Dolphin Rescued

On our way back from Isla del Caño, Costa Rica our group ran into this baby dolphin that had been tangled in a commercial fishing longline--what is known as "bycatch." A staggering amount of marine life—including turtles and dolphins—are caught up in these lines. In the middle of this vast ocean, we were spotted by somebody that needed our help. We were in the right place at the right time.
