One of the biggest basketball events is coming to THE capital of Serbia soon,

Belgrade will host the 2022 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague Final Four basketball competition. The semi finals will take place Thursday, May 19 at 18:00 CEST and 21:00 CEST. The third place and championship game on Saturday, May 21 at 16:00 CEST and 19:00 CEST, respectively. This highly anticipated event will be held in the stunning Stark Arena which holds a capacity of 15,500 people. Belgrade is one of five cities to host the competition more than once.

Last week, the Osana region organized the Raid Vilaltella horse race, only 1,5 hours away from the city center of Barcelona. The equestrian event included four international horse races, including three 1-, 2- and 3-star endurance races, as well as 2-star international race exclusively for young drivers 🐎

Shaikh Nasser set a new historic Spanish record, winning the 120km race in 6 hours, 19 minutes and 35 seconds! ⏱

After such a tumultuous year we were delighted to finally attend this year's Mobile World Congress.

Although the number of expositors and visitors was reduced due to the COVID 19 restrictions, the event was a real success with over 10,000 people who visited the fair.

Interesting fact: Samsung has announced that its flagship Galaxy S21 Ultra 5G has won the Best Smartphone award at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2021.📱

With so much inspiration and innovation, and the pandemic situation getting slowly under control, we have plenty to look forward to at MWC 2022.🤩

⛪️ Church of Saint Sava

The Temple of Saint Sava is a Serbian Orthodox church on the Vračar plateau in Belgrade. It was designed as the seat of the bishopric and the main cathedral of the Serbian Orthodox Church. It is the largest Orthodox church currently in operation. The church is dedicated to St. Sava, the founder of the Serbian Church and an important figure in medieval Serbia. Due to its location, the temple dominates the Belgrade skyline and is perhaps the most monumental building in the city.

Its 8,162 square metres of interior space, with two floors and several galleries, can accommodate approximately 10,000 worshippers. The basement houses the crypt of St. Sava and the tomb of the medieval Prince Lazar, who was responsible for the creation of the most powerful Serbian state in history. This structure is 82 m high, with white marble walls and 19 golden crosses⚜️

The surrounding park is also worth a visit with its decorative fountains. All this constitutes one of the architectural treasures of the capital🌹.

Vinci Airports, a French operator which designs, builds and operates 46 airports all over the world has released the final designs for the expansion of Nikola Tesla Airport in Belgrade. 🛩

The 25-year plan will see the airport’s capacity increased from the current six million passengers a year to 15 million by 2043 with a significant improvement of the level of service, comfort and variety of commercial offers.🌏

In particular, a terminal expansion, inserted runway and additional taxiways construction, additional aircraft parking positions, a new de-/anti-icing pad, additional car parking spaces, as well as new access roads are expected to be finished by 2023. 👷‍♀️

Thanks to the planned capacity upgrades the airport will be able to handle a projected 15 million passengers at the end of the concession period and is expected to boost and energize the entire Balkan region. 🇷🇸

Ada Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge over the Sava River in Belgrade. The bridge crosses the tip of Ada Ciganlija Island, connecting Čukarica and New Belgrade. Construction began in 2008, and the bridge was opened on 1 January 2012. 🌉

Since its opening in 2012, the bridge has become one of the symbols of the city and a "must-see setting for music videos and films", It is considered one of the most representative bridges in the capital. 📍
