Thanks to photographer Josh Packer for this wonderful photo showing two of the icons of Yellowstone National Park in Wyoming. A shaggy bison finds some warmth near the erupting geyser: Old Faithful. Even though they’re well adapted for winter survival, the bison probably enjoys a short break from the cold in the steamy spray. Photo courtesy of Josh Packer.

2019 was more than spectacular in every sense. Projects that are hard to describe in words remain behind me, and the new 2020 will surely bring new thrills and new photographic adventures !!

Ove jeseni motivacioni vikend održan je u Sremskim Karlovcima. Kao i uvek, organizovane su šetnje na Fruškoj gori, a učesnici su imali prilike i da učestvuju u sada već tradicionalnom kvizu znanja iz opšte kulture. Na ovogodišnjem motivacionom vikendu članovima Društva pridružili su se i učenici gimnazije Jovan Jovanović Zmaj.

Ovom prilikom se zahvaljujemo Pokretu gorana Vojvodine i Ekološkom centru Radulovački.

Vrsta nedelje: Vrbovača – Lentinus tigrinus (Bull.) Fr.

Vrbovača je vrsta jestive gljive koja pripada porodici Polyporaceae. Zbog pomalo žilavog mesa, u narodu je poznata još i kao vrbina žilavka. Plodonosi u grupama, u blizini reka ili jezera. Može se naći od kasnog proleća do jeseni, na obolelim deblima ili panjevima listopadnog drveća poput vrbe, topole ili bukve.

Aerial (from a plane) last week: The loops of Lake Powell's Reflection Canyon at low water. Laurent's light gray tent can be seen near the left edge of the picture on the canyon rim left of the left-most loop, in the shade. (Waldo was on his day off.) Lake Powell's spring inflows have begun--the lake has risen three inches in the past week.
