The “Danube Festivals Network” project represents a contribution to improving the situation in the tourism sector by using existing potentials – festivals of creative industries which are becoming more and more attractive to tourists. Huge potential lies in the foreign markets because events provide a mixture of local culture, identity and hospitality with global trends in audio-visual spheres. T
he idea behind the project is to use the existing experiences of project partners and use them in the most efficient way to promote this region and its tourist offer with the final purpose to increase the number of visitors to the Danube Serbia region. The three partners proposing this action are organizing 3 major creative industry events-festivals which are regionally and internationally recognized, attracting over 380.000 visitors from the country and abroad:
