Sunrise Camping Site is situated in the southwestern part of Macedonia, in the village of Kalishta, near to the Albanian border. We are located on the shore of Lake Ohrid. The nearest small town in our neighborhood is Struga, and not far from the camp is a beautiful city of Ohrid, Macedonia’s seventh largest city.

Camping Sunrise is open from March 1st to December 1st.
We have places for about 15 tents / or caravans.
Next summer, we will also have 15 rooms available.

Rino Caravan and Camping Site is a sheltered, small and nice site which is situated in the village of Kalista, near to the border Albania and Macedonia. The camping is beside the beautiful lake Ohrid and about 4 kilometers from Struga and about 16 kilometers from the beautiful Ohrid city. It’s a family run campsite, small and safe for children. We have room for about 15 tents /or caravans. With a field directly next to the lake ensuring a quieter, peaceful stay. Around the campsite you can walk, visit one of the cities, go for a swim or fishing with our rowing boat. Observe in your own way the Macedonian life.

Bookings and Price:

Camping Rino is open all year around!

The tariff for 2014 is 12,00 EUR per night, including use of all the facilities (electricity, shower and Wifi).

Facilities:

Our facilities comprise of 3 toilet and one shower in our existing block. Outside the toilet/shower block there is a washing up area with one hot and cold water tap.
Dogs are allowed on the site but must be kept on a lead at all times and any fouling picked up straight away. They must not be tied up on extended leads outside caravans or tents and they must not be left on site by themselves.
There is a Bar/Restaurant which provides free coffee, tea and Raki. More drinks and hot meals throughout the day. (See Bar/restaurant)
We have free WiFi access on the campsite
Electric hook-ups are available for all caravan pitches.
The campsite is beside the lake with our private beach. You can swim in the waters of lake Ohrid or just take our boat and you make a little trip on the water or go fishing.
If it is not too busy on the campsite you can park the car on the field.

Nearby activities:

Struga: It is a small town in the southwestern part of Macedonia. There are also lots of activities that can be done while staying here. Among them are scuba diving, swimming, shopping strolling and boating. Scuba diving is one of the most popular because of the beautiful underwater life that can be seen in Strugan waters. If you want to walk around and get familiarized with the place, you can try visiting churches all over the city. There are many churches in this place and a good deal of them already survived 8 centuries of wear and tear. Taking some time out to visit these churches will give you a one o f a kind experience of stepping foot in an old structure.

Ohrid: Ohrid city is located east of Lake Ohrid. Ohrid is Macedonia’s seventh largest city and features about 365 churches. The city has lovely beaches where you can enjoy a ton of water activities, as well as a charming old town filled with landmarks and monuments such as the statue of Kiril and Metodi and a Roman Amphitheater where the Ohrid summer festival is held. Another of the top attractions in Ohrid old town it’s Samuil’s Fortress, which offers stunning views of Ohrid lake.

Route:

Finding us is really easy! We are located on the east coast of Lake Ohrid. This is approximately 20 minutes from the center of the city of Ohrid and Apostle Paul Airport. If you come from Skopje, it is a journey of three hours by car through the beautiful landscape.

Coming from Ohrid/Airport/Skopje: Follow the signs to Struga. From there, follow the main road until a sign for Kalishta (about 5 minutes) village comes up and take a left. Follow the road until the T-crossing (About 5 minutes again) and take a left. Again follow the road until you are at the lake, again take a left and we are about 100m further on. Coming from Albania: If you are coming from the E852, cross the border (called Kjafasan) and follow the road until you see a waypoint to the village Kalishta. Take a right here. Follow the road until the T-crossing (About 5 minutes again) and take a left. Again follow the road until you are at the lake, again take a left and we are about 100m further on.
