Naval Battle of Santiago de Cuba took place on July 3, 1898 at the exit of Santiago de Cuba Bay during the Spanish-American War.

Remains of the Spanish armored cruiser Cristóbal Colón, sunk by its own crew on Sunday, July 3, 1898, very close to the mouth of the Turquino River, after escaping the siege in the bay of Santiago de Cuba.
Today it is part of the Naval Battle Archaeological Park of SantiagodeCuba, a national monument, and is a must-see dive site for diving lovers who visit .

Founded on June 27, 1924, then as the Bartenders Club of the Republic of Cuba, the current Association is the oldest of its kind in the world.
