This amazing Cuban pianist, has won several Grammy awards and holds countless honorary doctorates, along with various distinctions for his career as a jazz pianist.
In 1973 he founded Irakere, the band that would revolutionize Cuban and Latin music in the second half of the 20th century by mixing jazz, classicism, rock, and traditional Cuban music.
