Time to say a big thanks again at all my friends and loyal customers for sharing good fishing days on board Mystic Blue. Big thanks also at my crews Piteu and Vá for hard work on the cockpit. Now it's time to make some maintenance to prepare the boat in perfect conditions for next "Mindelo marlin season 2024" . Last spots on primer time are available in March, April and June. SENGAL - DAKAR - SEASON 2023/24.
Do you want to organize a fishing week or weekend? Dakar is very simple to reach with direct flights from the main European and American airports. The Fishing Center Marina Terrou-Bi Resort are open all year arround. Our staff ***** will take care of your arrival and during your stay. Our boats are moored in front of your room in our private marina.
I will be back again on board Twin Soul and Born Free in the magnificent Terrou-Bi- Resort until September to January 2024. Target blue marlin, sailfish, Yellowfin tuna, BigEye tuna and from mid December best time to catch the big Atlantic Bluefine tuna. The fishing we do is mainly off-shore trolling and drifting with live bait around the Fad's. Time to travel. 4 months of high level fishing in Dakar passed quickly between FADs and trolling. Beautiful fish coming up, blue marlin, yellowfin , bigeye, bluefin tuna XXL size fish. Less than a year ago we launched TwinSoul after a long rebuilding job and happy to see the good quality of this project..it's a real fishing machine, fast, easy to handle and comfortable. Special thanks to Samir who is organizing with passion and tenacity to improve this excellent fishing center "Marina Terrou-Bi" inside of Terrou-Bi Resort. Another special thanks for the assistance and professional staff and fishing crew Pape, Cherif, Sidi.
Now time to return to my rock "Mindelo" to prepare Mystic Blue. Cape Verde marlin season is right around the corner and for those interested for last minute change date we have great days available from 6 to 10 May.

Slow days yesterday and today out fishing in Dakar, yes it happens !!! But back at it again the next few days.
I post a picture of another bluefin caugh yesterday by locals, around 800 pounds again !!! Will see if we catch them in the next few weeks / Month

Another very nice day aboard Twin Soul for Claude Resch, with 2/4 blue marlin, we released a 600 a 350 pound!! Missed one on the pitch and one on the lure. What a amazing fishing place In front of Dakar!!! Terrou-Bi Resort

Water temperature still hot 25.3 🔥
Today 06/01/2022
We caught a 377,5 pound (171.2 Kg) Big Eye Tuna on 130 lbs line. This fish would have been the new world record but we ended the fight by harpooning the fish instead of gaffing it.
The actual world record is 363,5 pound (165 Kg) from 1987… 35 years ago..
Well done at new angler Vasily at his first Tuna.
We also went 0/1 blue marlin. The fish pull the hook after few minutes of fight.
All of that in half day fishing. 🔥
