We created BookingBoavista when we start to travel with our own kids. We think family time is precious. So we selected some beaches in Boa Vista that we often go with them.
Photo 2 - ESTORIL - right in front of our apartments is the best beach for children in Boa Vista! With a super calm sea and some beach clubs where you can easily find other families, shade, meals, and drinks.
3 - ILHEU or DJEU - in the small islet in front of Sal Rei is a quiet beach. On the islet, we can also visit the fort Duque de Bragança, a construction dating back to 1820 built to protect the city from pirate attacks.
4 - PRAIA DE VOLTA - in the end of Cabral beach there is a small natural pool called Praia de Volta. Best to avoid on weekends as it can be crowded, especially in summer.
5 - PRAIA DE DAVID - next to the chapel of Fatima we can find this fantastic small beach. A wonder on windy days as it is protected by the rocks. On weekends, especially in summer it can be crowded.
6 - SANTA MONICA (next to the restaurant Boca Beach) - nothing to say about the most famous beach in Boa Vista: kms of white sand as far as the eye can see. However, this beach can have huge waves which can intimidate even the best swimmers. But next to Boca Beach there is a small protected area where the water is amazing! At Boca Beach we can find shade, food and drinks.
7 & 8 - SANTA MONICA (In the pond season) - after the rainy season, small ponds can be form. The kids can run through the dunes, and then bathe in the ponds to remove the excess of sand. In these small lagoons we can also observe many birds, small fish and some crabs.
9 - PRAIA DE ATLANTA (CABO SANTA MARIA) - the shipwreck. Depending on the month and the tide, we can find some waves, but the current always towards to the beach. It is an experience to visit the huge boat, but we recommend to pay close attention when the little ones are in the water.
10 - ERVATÃO - here the sea is very dangerous to swim. However, the beach has a small green oasis. Some parts are private but you can cross it and let the little ones explore. In the middle of coconut trees, and vegetation you can take a walk to the big Baobab tree.
