We’re spoiled again with some delicious treats from the Netherlands! 😍 Tonight, we’ll be enjoying them to the fullest.

It’s such a special feeling to receive a little piece of my other home all the way here on Sal Island. To our dear Monique Schuurman who brought these goodies, thank you so much for your kindness—it means the world to us! 💙♥️

These moments remind us of the incredible connections we’ve made through Logan Tours and how lucky we are to have people in our lives who think of us even from miles away. Grateful doesn’t even begin to cover it. 🫶

We’re speechless! We received a text to go pick up a package from the Post Office and I was expecting a small present, but when I saw the employee coming with a huge box I was speechless for a moment. 😳

Our unexpected Christmas presents from Bianca Lievers came before our Christmas Tree! Tomorrow we have to decorate your Christmas tree to give them a beautiful place under it. The problem will be to keep Logan from opening them before Christmas. 😂

To Bianca, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for this beautiful surprise! Your friendship, kindness, and genuine heart have touched us deeply. Knowing that you took time from your busy schedule to choose, buy, pack, and send such thoughtful gifts across continents means more than words can express. I’m writing this with a heart full of gratitude and eyes full of joy. 💞

It’s a true blessing that through our small tourism business, we have the opportunity to build such meaningful connections. We’re incredibly grateful for all of you who keep in touch even after leaving Cape Verde, who remember us here in the Atlantic Ocean, and who continue to bring warmth and friendship into our lives. There’s nothing quite like seeing your happy, sun-kissed faces at the end of a full-day tour, arriving back at the hotel with memories of Sal’s beauty! 🏖️💙 Watching your smiles reminds us why we love what we do.

Fun fact: Today is "Dia de Todos os Santos" (All Saints’ Day) here in Cape Verde, a public holiday! 🎉🌽 While official offices are closed, you’ll find the locals celebrating together and enjoying a feast filled with delicious corn. In the greenest islands, this season is known for the abundance of fresh green corn. We’re lucky to have received a special corn gift from my grandmother, and we’ll be cooking it up for today’s meal! 🍲

🚙✨ Introducing our first travelers on board of the brand-new red pickup called 62! Here's the story of how we managed to get it ready for Sal Island adventures in under a week. 🌴

The journey began with our quick thinking and determination. 📝 As soon as the dealer confirmed everything was set and just waiting on the boat transport to Sal Island, we sprang into action! We grabbed all the necessary documents, made copies, and visited the institutions to get every piece of paperwork. 📄 Everything was asked to avoid mistakes and short after we gathered everything needed. The car (outside) seats, (inside) seat covers and accessories—locally handcrafted here on Sal Island—were already ordered. 💺✨

As soon as the pickup arrived, Kendall was off to Palmeira (were Mayara joined after the Dutch tour). That same day, we were driving around, completing inspections and adjustments. The next morning at 9 a.m., we submitted the final paperwork, and within two days, we got the call to make the payment. Shortly after, we received the official documents, and the (now called) 62 was road-ready to take our beloved travelers on new island adventures! 🌊🗺️ Now, along with our cherished 71 pickup, we’re thrilled to offer this brand-new experience.

Fun fact: we often joke that our blue 71 pickup is the “mom” of the red 62. 💙👩‍👦 Although they’re the same model (just different years), it’s all the years of hard work, love, and care that allowed us to finally add this new vehicle. 💪❤️ We’re so grateful to everyone who trusts us to show the beauty of Sal Island. Seeing you return home with joy (and maybe fall in love with the island enough to come back!) inspires us to keep improving. 🌞💖 Whether it’s with a new vehicle or constantly elevating our tours, we’re here to give you an unforgettable Sal Island experience! 🌅🌴

To fully enjoy your Sal Island tour with Logan Tours, it's important to be well-prepared. We've got you covered with a list of essentials! Here’s what you’ll need to bring to make the most of your experience:

🧢 Hat and Sunglasses – Protect yourself from the sun ☀️ with a wide-brimmed hat and UV-blocking shades.
🧴 Sunscreen – The Sal sun is strong! Don’t forget to apply sunscreen throughout the day to avoid burns. Don't forget to reapply after 2 hours or after taking a swim.
💧 Water Bottle – Stay hydrated during the tour by bringing enough water bottle, recommend by the doctors on Sal is 3 liters a day per adult..
📷 Camera or Phone – Capture the beautiful sights of the island! You won’t want to miss snapping photos at Shark Bay 🦈 or the Blue Eye 🌊. Don't be shy to ask our guides to take a picture of you (and love ones).
👟 Comfortable Shoes – Some walking is required on tours, so make sure you wear comfy shoes. And if you have them, water shoes.
💶 Cash for Local Purchases – Have some local currency or euros on hand for souvenirs, lunch, entry fees or a snack.
🧣 Light Jacket or Scarf – The island can get windy 🌬️, so pack something light just in case. Not needed all year-round, ask when booking if it's required in the season that you're visiting.

1. Ponta Preta – Located on the southern coast, Ponta Preta offers stunning views, peaceful beaches, and breathtaking sunsets. Perfect for relaxing or exploring, this hidden gem is a must-see. Take a peaceful walk along the sandy shoreline, enjoy the magnificent sunsets, and snap incredible photos of the dramatic cliffs and clear turquoise waters. 📸🌅 And during kite season, Ponta Preta becomes a top spot for kite surfers, with powerful waves and steady winds ideal for advanced riders. 🏄‍♂️

2. Buracona – Often overshadowed by more popular attractions, Buracona is a stunning natural pool formed by volcanic rock. The crystal-clear waters are perfect for a refreshing swim, and the unique rock formations make for a picturesque setting.
