Quad biking is a great way to explore the island of Sal in Cape Verde. It’s also great fun!!!!!

A great place to learn kitesurfing on Sal, Cape Verde. Also a great beach just to explore. I walked from Vila Verde over to Kite Beach, along the coast into Santa Maria, stopped for some fab pancakes at Cape Fruit and back to Vila Verde. Fab day! Of course, swimming along the way is great for cooling down! X

I highly recommend walking along the coast from Bikini Beach to Murdeira. We found this wonderful restaurant on the beach in Murdeira - Base Nautic . Wonderful. Really enjoyed the homemade lemonade! Location is amazing!

Pedra de Lume are the Salt Lakes found on the island of Sal in Cape Verde. The translation for ‘Sal’ is salt. They are located around 5 km from the capital Espargos and are a must place to visit on any trip. The best way (most exciting!) to get there is by quad bike although many locals offer trips of the islands which are fab. There’s no better way to see the island than with a local person. You can swim in the lakes and enjoy the experience!!! AMAZING place!!!

Sal, Cape Verde is one of the best kite surfing locations in the world. This is Kite Beach and one of the best places to learn how to kite surf. This is 30 mins walk from my apartment. I love this place!

This day last year. Santa Maria pier, Sal, Cape Verde. So much has changed in that time and thank goodness we don’t know what is around the corner. Travel is the best medication/therapy out there and here’s to lots of adventures in 2023 lots of love to you all. Happy New Year. Thank u for ur support. Yvonne x x x
