🌟 A Night of Wonder Under the Stars 🐢

Our last turtle watching adventure of this season was truly enchanting! 🌌

Our camp was set up on the Natural Reserve of Serra Negra, a beautiful spot that offers a front-row seat to a mesmerizing starlit sky. There's something truly special about spending the night by the ocean. 🏖️🐢

As we kept our eyes on the shoreline, we were fortunate to witness the awe-inspiring sight of a giant turtle gracefully returning to the sea. It's a humbling experience to witness these incredible creatures in their natural habitat. 🐢💙

But the real highlight of the night was when we had the privilege of seeing a massive turtle carefully laying her eggs, a testament to the cycle of life and the importance of conservation. 🌏

And let's not forget the adorable baby turtles embarking on their epic journey to the ocean. 🐢🌊

It was a heartwarming sight as they scrambled towards the waves, driven by an instinct as old as time itself.

Thanks to Kate and Jack for notifing the rare encounter of this beautiful loggerhead sea turtle laying eggs at 10a.m on the west coast of Sal Island, and for the pictures.

We contacted and they went immediatly there to relocate the eggs into their safe hatchery to protect the future baby turtles from usual predators in this area such as dogs, crabs and birds.

Thanks everyone for joining forces with the amazing conservation efforts of Project Biodiversity in Sal Island. 💙🐢🇨🇻🤙
