CEO of Orpheus Luxury Travel & Tours, Roman Starikovich, together with the Embassy of the Republic of Cyprus in Kuwait and the Cyprus Deputy Ministry of Tourism, is participating in the B2B Workshop in Kuwait, “Cyprus as a Tourist Destination and Jazeera Airways’ Year-Round Flights.”

The primary goal of the event is to showcase to local tour operators and travel agencies the unique opportunities and advantages of Cyprus as a year-round destination, attracting visitors not only in the summer but also during the winter.

Cyprus offers a range of attractions that are lesser-known among local tour operators, such as its rich historical and cultural heritage, diverse excursion options, a modern casino, a well-developed MICE tourism sector and much more. Invited Cypriot DMCs, including Orpheus Luxury Travel & Tours, will discuss these highlights and more during the workshop.

Taktsang Lhakhang or "Tiger's Nest"

This iconic monastery and a calling card of Bhutan, is perched on a cliff 3,120 meters high, rising 700 meters above the Paro valley. Its name translates to "Tiger's Nest". According to legend, Padmasambhava, an 8th-century Indian teacher of Buddhist ta**ra, was transported to this cave on a flying tigress, who was his wife transformed. It is here that he meditated for three months. Nearby, the cave where his wife, Yeshi Tsogyal, practiced is also located.

In the 17th century, a monastery complex dedicated to various deities was constructed on the site of these caves. The entrance to the cave is opened only once a year, attracting a multi-kilometer queue of pilgrims along the valley the day before.

The ascent takes about 2.5 to 3 hours. While the path is challenging, it is manageable with the right mindset. Photography inside is prohibited, but the serene environment compels one to set aside all worldly concerns and absorb the profound energy of this sacred site.

Getting to the Kingdom of Bhutan is now even easier! Royal Bhutan Airlines "Druk Air" has launched direct flights to Paro from Dubai, operating twice a week starting October 28.
