Don’t miss this chance to experience authentic Cypriot poureki, at 2nd Annual Palaiometocho Festival on Saturday, October 19, 2024, at 7:00 PM, in the courtyard of the Church of Panagia Odigitria in Palaiometocho!

This year’s theme is dedicated to the traditional Cypriot pastry «poureki», a delightful treat made with a thin, crispy dough filled with a variety of delicious ingredients. Depending on the region and recipe, poureki can be filled with anari cheese, potatoes, or even pumpkin, flavored with cinnamon and herbs, creating both sweet and savory variations.

At the festival, you’ll have the chance to watch live demonstrations of how these mouth-watering pastries are made by local volunteers and enjoy free samples!
