I found this little creature in the palm tree when I was giving it a good haircut, we think it is a praying mantis, had to pick him up and put him back at the top of the tree as I felt bad!

Villa Amelia prices and availability -

1st - 31st May - £400 per week

1st - 31st September - £400 per week

1st October - 31st April £350 per week

All holidays will also have a cleaning and laundry fee, this is £75 per stay.

Think this must be the last day of the tourist season for the water attractions. Water Park and Wavedancer both last days today.

Me and Amelia went to the water park today, weather was around 26 degrees, water was not quite as warm but we went on all of the rides.

Worth a visit if you are coming over with kids

It doesn’t get more local than this…

Freshly picked and cracked walnuts and pecans with local honey (Cyprus Honey Stavros) from less than a mile away, tasty evening treat!

Also, clementines picked from the tree in the orchard this afternoon, doesn’t get closer than that!

November 6th, 26 degrees, was a bit chilly getting in but we got used to it after a few minutes.

Day out to Limassol today.

Walk around the marina, McDonald’s for the kids 😬, Limassol Castle, old town, shopping, the best nut shop I have ever seen, walk along the front and finally the Hansel and Gretel shop that Amelia loves.

Another day, another castle, this time in Limassol.

I forgot about this one, our visit to the traditional sweet shop on the outskirts of one of the villages we visited.

They had a huge selection of homemade jams, marmalades, preserves, liqueurs and what Amelia purchased, flavoured sherbet.

Made from mastic oil, sugar and a flavouring, it’s like eating icing sugar, made with all natural ingredients.

Worth a visit on the way through, plenty of tasters and a big variety of flavours.

Lunch in the old town, kebabs for under €5 each, really tasty as well.

Today we went out to see the aftermath of the storm, but to be honest other than a bit of dirt on the roadsides and a few fallen trees you couldn’t really tell.

We went down to the harbour, had a wander, got some lunch at The Moorings Paphos Harbour and then walked over to the castle, which we didn’t know at the time but was open to the public.

€2.50 per adult, kids free and we went in and had a look around, some lovely views from the top, definitely worth a visit.

What a difference a few hours makes!

What a difference a few hours can make! Torrential rain, hail storms, flash floods, a 2 hour drive back at 20mph and then battling the floods to get home.
