Amazing full day tour today, starting with the largest gypsum cave in Cyprus and Turkey, figtree cave. Formed over 2.5 million years ago it is a fantastic site to visit. Salamis ancient city which was destroyed by a severe earthquake in 274bc was next on our list and then on we went to the walled city of Famagusta for a spot of lunch and a bit of sight seeing around the city. The ghost town of Varosha was the final destination which we chose to see on electric scooters as the golf buggies were booked out.
It was a fantastic day and the weather was good to us, looking forward to the Kyrenia mountain range tour of St Hilarion castle, Bellapais abbey, Kyrenia castle and harbour next weekend.😊👌
