Record temperatures are sweeping across Cyprus as the island braces for its first heat wave of summer 2024. With temperatures soaring to a scorching 40 degrees Celsius, especially in the interior regions, the Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning for this afternoon.

🌞 The extreme heat is expected between 12:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., urging everyone to stay hydrated and avoid outdoor activities during peak hours.
