Challenging forest park in Areal Plesivec is only 5 minutes away from Villa Maximus. The gigantic swing for two persons will take you at least 15 meters into the air. A unique experience with a real adrenalin kick. The climbing center consists of several obstacles that must be overcome. Between the trees, various surprises and challenges await you patiently. How about a free fall from 16 meters height? Take it easy and especially enjoy the views from this height. You can make high jumps on the bungee trampoline and feel wonderfully free. In short, a lot of fun, for children and adults.

The Sea Aquarium in Germany's highest city Oberwiesenthal can be reached in a short drive from Villa Maximus. In the 17-meter Amazon basin, countless colorful fish are constantly waiting for food. Freshwater fish from all continents can be admired. A wide variety of sea creatures can be viewed in the center. The palette varies from sharks to seahorses. Of course, Nemo should not be missing either. Enjoy the unique glow of color and variety of shapes! The aquarium is located in the sports and recreation center.

Have your camera ready for a butterfly selfie when one of the “flying gemstones” chooses your shoulder.

From Villa Maximus, it is a short drive to this wonderful tropical garden with live, exotic butterflies from around the world. A very lovely hobbit village is full of enchantingly beautiful butterflies from around the world. In the free flight zone, you can observe these beauties of the animal kingdom up close as no barriers between visitors and the butterflies can be found here.

Monster rolling in Oberwiesenthal just 7 km from Villa Maximus

Is there a nicer place to enjoy driving fun on monster rollers from the highest city in Germany? Hardly likely! If you are looking for a special experience, the green "monsters“ are a must-do challenge!

The 4-seater chairlift or the cable car takes you to the Fichtelberg. The fun-filled route leads a full 8.2 km downhill. Public, wide bike, and forest paths characterize the descent. Parts of the route are even paved.

Your destination is the train station in the German Bohemia valleys. From here you travel back in one of the last narrow-gauge railways.

Characteristic sauna a few minutes away from Villa Maximus!

Under no circumstances should you miss a visit to the tunnels of the unique tunnel sauna, which is unique in the Czech Republic.
