ASTRONOMICAL CLOCK at OLD TOWN HALL PRAGUE :)

The Old Town Hall was established in 1338 as the seat of the Old Town administration. The oldest part of the complex consists of a beautiful Gothic tower with a bay chapel and a unique astronomical clock – known as the Orloj – where, every hour between 9 am and 11 pm, the twelve apostles appear. The Gothic Revival eastern wing of the Town Hall was destroyed during the Prague Uprising on May 8, 1945 and was never rebuilt. The guided tour includes the historical halls, the tower and the underground areas.

IMAGINE... THAT ALL LIGHTS HAVE GONE OUT...

The Invisible Exhibition in Prague is a unique interactive journey to an invisible world, where in total darkness you find your way out only by touch, sounds and scent.
Interesting? Strange? Weird? Or… natural? Could an hour of blindness open your eyes?

On this invisible journey you will be led by blind or partially sighted people through 7 differently furnished places. A tour starts every 15 minutes.

Have you ever seen a talking clock before? A Braille typewriter? Or perhaps talking scales?

At the other venue of the exhibition devices and objects used by blind people on a daily basis are shown.

To avoid waiting, please pre-book! The program is approximately 90 minutes long. You will be in the dark at least for 1 hour and the rest you will spend in the visible part. Put on comfortable shoes! The exhibition is suitable for children above 7 years of age.

FOR LOVERS OF COFFEE... VIETNAMESE DAK LAK COFFEE IS HERE :)

Do you belong among coffee lovers? Then you should definitely taste the quality coffee from the province Dak Lak?

In Vietnam, coffee was discovered at the end of the 19th century, when it was imported by the French colonists. In the great, it began to grow here only in the 1990s. At present, Vietnam is one of the largest suppliers of green coffee. It is the second in the world. Primary is now a supplier of Robusta among the world's suppliers.

This coffee contains approximately 2.7% caffeine and is more resistant to pests. This means that so many pesticides and other chemicals are not being used in its cultivation. The coffee maker grows to a height of 10 meters and its fruits mature after 10 months. It is preferable for its growing temperature, up to 30 ° C. The ideal place to grow this coffee is therefore Dak Lak.

Dak Lak is a Vietnamese province where you can find the best coffee in Southeast Asia, which is grown on large coffee plantations. After this province, Dak Lak coffee was also named, distributing Vietnamese coffee on the Czech market, which is very different from what you have ever tasted. It's just imported from this province.

Since 2011, Dak lak coffee, founded by coffee enthusiasts, is the first to specialize in importing roasted coffee beans of the highest quality from Vietnam.

NAMED... 3TH UGLIEST CONSTRUCTION OF THE WORLD !!!

ZISKOV TELEVISION TOWER

Unquestionably the main landmark of the Žižkov district, at 216 m in height, it's also the tallest building in the city. With a 360° view, Prague is laid out before your eyes from the viewing platform at 97 m. One entire floor is dedicated to relaxation and above all to top quality gourmet experiences. The architects Václav Aulický and Jiří Kozák designed the tower in the 1980s. Ten giant sculptures of babies by leading Czech artist David Černý crawl all over the outside of the tower.

Farmers’ markets at the Náplavka waterfront EVERY SATURDAY!!!

The embankment between the Palackého and Railway bridges is a true socio-cultural place to be, and the markets here are quite the most popular. They are yours to visit on Saturdays only.

Bonus: boats, swans, scenic views of Hradčany, and Vyšehrad a stone’s throw away.

Farmers’ markets offer fresh produce and products direct from domestic farmers and artisans – seasonal fruits and vegetables, herbs, dairy, meat and bakery products, honey, fresh fish, handicrafts and much more. In some stalls you can even buy specialities from international cuisines. Yet these are not just markets to visit to go shopping; in addition to the fruit, vegetables, flowers and farm produce you will also find here some perfectly made coffee, hot food ranging from gourmet hamburgers to toasted sandwiches, sweet and savoury pancakes, grilled goodies, beer, wine, healthy juices and syrups and much else besides.
Most of the markets run from March to November. In the winter season, only some of the marketplaces are open, with a limited offering. Opening hours differ from market to market. Some are open only one day a week, so the visit to the market can become a ritual of sorts. Others are open only on working days. Some include musical performances, or have picnic tables at the ready for their visitors.

Dancing House (Tančící dům)

This pillar of modern architecture in Prague “danced” onto the Rašínovo Embankment in 1996. The project comes from the drawing board of world-renowned architects Vlado Milunić and Frank O. Gehry. Its concept was inspired by the dance skills of the famous film couple – the stone tower symbolizes Fred Astaire and the glass tower, his partner Ginger Rogers. A gallery and a restaurant with a terrace offering a 360° view of Prague can be visited in the Dancing House.

1.5.2017 Frantisek's love - Fifth Neighbourhood Celebration Day of Love :)

14:00 - 20:00 FUN :) Františka Křížka 15, Praha 7

Food and love. Two inseparable companions and essential essences of life in Letná. František's Love, a traditionally unusual first-day street celebration, this year will nurture neighborly love. On May 1st, we'll all meet at one table and tell the truth that love is going through the stomach. Gourmets and dietists, vegans and salamists are all invited and welcomed to celebrate life and love in the future. FREE ENTRY! KULTURAL CONTRIBUTIONS ON THE COMMON TABLE ARE WELCOME.

For the fifth time Alfred in the yard / Motus invites you to work with BIO | OKO to the traditional May celebration! The street loving celebration is like every year a definite confirmation of the irrefutable fact that spring is in full swing and love exists. Both of them concentrate in František Křížka Street and expands not only to the whole capital and to the adjacent regions, but also to the expanding universe.

The neighboring feast will start a common lunch at the big board in front of Bie oko, but it will be feast for the rest of the afternoon until 20 o'clock. It is more than welcome that visitors of František's Lacek would have a culinary contribution to a common table and a neighboring exchange of old family recipes could be created on the spot. In addition to testing home lascins, the film screenings will include a street theater. The patron saint took over the action: migratory birds, spring air, blue sky, clear joy, musical rhythms and bright colors. In the case of rain spring and love continue. The overall program of the František Křížka festival will be further specified.

Prague’s Narrowest Street is So Narrow it Has Traffic Lights For Pedestrians :)

In the heart of Prague’s oldest neighborhood, the historic Mala Strana or “Little Quarter”, there is a street so narrow that it’s impossible for two people to get past each other no matter how hard they try. The street named Vinarna Certovka is actually a 50-centimeter wide passage (70 centimeter according to some sources) that runs for a length of about 10 meters between several houses close to the Charles Bridge. The street consists of several stone steps leading from the U Luzickeho seminare street to the Certovka restaurant at the edge of the Certovka canal.

For the convenience of pedestrians, but mostly for novelty, two traffic lights were installed on either end of the street to signal when the street is free or occupied. Most people who use the street are tourists. They push the walk button, take a few pictures and when they go, they don’t take the light seriously, so usually end up colliding with someone coming from the opposite end.

CHARLES BRIDGE - 100 times different :)

Prague’s oldest bridge was built to replace the Judith Bridge that had been badly damaged by floods in 1342. The Stone, or Prague, Bridge, called Charles Bridge since 1870, was begun in 1357 by Charles IV and was completed in 1402. The bridge is built of sandstone blocks, flanked at each end by fortified towers (Lesser Town Bridge Towers, Old Town Bridge Tower). From 1683 to 1928, 30 statues of saints were carved to decorate the bridge, the most famous of which is the statue of St John of Nepomuk.

Did you ever see anything like this? I Love It...

Black light theatre Prague

IMAGE Theatre has been a permanent member among theatres of a unique Czech genre of black theatre.

During its 25 years long existence it became an important part of Prague culture, well-known not only to Prague citizens and visitors, but also to audiences abroad. It has had over a hundred foreign trips around Europe, but also to the United Arab Emirates, Macau, South Korea, Hong Kong, India, Israel, Turkmenistan, Russia and Bahrain. Its creative work moved the development of the genre at the top level. Far from the original, simple form of black theatre, the contemporary one, synthetic and concentrated on clever and quality entertainment, has been reached. The ensemble has developed its own style. It brilliantly uses the technique of black theatre, elements of modern dance, original costumes, mime and non-verbal theatre, as well as contact with the audience. Mystification, precise ex*****on of visual tricks, playful authors, compelling performances by actors and dancers and the desire to have fun and entertain the viewer, all is aimed at achieving the goal set: to perform a live theatre for a live audience.

More than 8,000 performed shows and almost two million spectators over twenty-five years is certainly not the only measure of success of the IMAGE Theatre. The essential part remains the same - to keep the audience satisfied.

In 2016 IMAGE Theatre built a new modern hall with a comfortable auditorium in the city centre, theatre café, sufficiently large stage and technical facilities. On its repertoire there are currently five titles: "Cabinet", "Black Box", "Afrikaner," "Galaxy" and "The Best of Image".
