The best way how to enjoy the colors of autumn is to walk in Stromovka Park! "Strom"means tree, and there are a lot of them! ;-) Of course, now with colorful leafs ;-)

The Prague Infant Jesus has over three hundred clothes. But not all of them are usable. Most of them were given as a gift out of gratitude and they are from different parts of the world. The most valuable are probably the clothes hand-tailored by Empress Maria Theresa at the end of the 18th century. During the year, the Carmelite sisters dress him in different colours according to the liturgical seasons of the church calendar. Click through each photo to learn what each color means! ;-)

Thanks God the weather is nice again! So take advantage of the last warm days to sit outside and enjoy your drink on a place with one of the most beautiful views of Prague! Just by the Nebozízek stop of the funicular to Petřín hill.

Prague is building flood barriers ...

It has been raining heavily across the Czech Republic for several days. Many towns are preparing for the possible arrival of floods. Prague is among them and so they are building flood barriers. For those of you who were with me on the island of Kampa under the Charles Bridge and saw the metal strips in the pavement, where I told you that when the floods come, those strips will slide out and form a wall as a barrier against the water ... So now you can see this in action, pushed up.

A new statue floats in the streets of historical Prague! (Well, not so new already from 2022 :-D ) ... In Dlouhá street you may wonder what it is hanging above you ... Well It's a work of art called Vinok. Vinok is a traditional Ukrainian flower headdress that has become a symbol of the Ukrainian nation. The piece is dedicated to all Ukrainian mothers who suffered from the Russian military invasion. Author: Czech artist Veronika Psotková ✌️🇺🇦
