Last Wednesday at CAMP (Center for Architecture and Metropolitan Planning), 25 architecture students presented their final projects. As always, their perspectives and observations of Prague were fascinating and eye-opening for not only other students, but the staff and locals. We hope Prague was a great source of inspiration and ideas for your future projects! Big kudos to the three students who went straight from Prague to graduation! .martinezjr 🎓👏

Throwback to an inspiring 3-day field trip to Olomouc in October with the Sustainable Architecture and Urbanism class by instructor Petra Kadlecová! 🚍💚

Students explored the beautiful city, then ventured to Horka nad Moravou to check out Slunakov—a low-energy center for schools and families. 🌱🏛️ Afterward, they headed to Rožnov pod Radhoštěm to discover the Wallachian open-air museum with traditional wooden houses.

On the last day, students visited a scenic bike route featuring a stunning new bridge over the Bečva River and the Helfštýn castle!

The trip was a way for students to immerse themselves in Moravian culture and experience the beauty of the Czech Republic beyond Prague. 🇨🇿

Our NC State Prague students engaged in a powerful discussion on AI and ethics, diving deep into its potential to transform industries, especially healthcare. With insights from leading philosophers and scientists, Dr. Ondrej Krasa, Dr. Martin Vrany, and Dr. Lucy Císař Brown, we explored the balance between innovation and responsibility. A huge thank you to our brillant guest speakers and everyone involved for sparking such an important conversation!

Our time in Poland was both deeply moving and educational. In Kraków, we kicked off our journey with a city tour, taking in landmarks like the beautiful Wawel Castle and the town square. We then dived deeper into the city’s history by visiting Schindler’s Factory and the former Jewish Ghetto, where we gained insight into the harsh realities of life under N**i occupation. At the Płaszów and Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camps, we studied the history and impact of the Holocaust, reflecting on how it shaped the world and the resilience of those who lived through it. The trip concluded with a visit to the Auschwitz Jewish Center, where we had the opportunity to meet Polish students and participate in workshops that deepened our understanding of Jewish life before and during the Holocaust.

Jack and Sebastian, students in our Fall Connect program, will take over our profile this Friday and Saturday. They have some exclusive spots lined up that you haven’t seen yet! Stay tuned and follow along for a unique glimpse into their weekend escapades.

Jack is from Durham, North Carolina, and he is in his first year of Poole management. He came to Prague to learn about new cultures and travel while studying.

Sebastian is from Cary, North Carolina, and is currently enrolled in the exploratory studies program. A fun fact about him is that he attended his first-ever hockey game in Prague a couple of weeks ago. He chose to come to Prague because it allowed him to start at NC State in the fall, experience Europe for the first time, and immerse himself in new cultures.
