To discover and establish new lines and problems has always been the thrill for me in climbing. Although I’ve been climbing for over three decades it still amazes me to find new stuff in my hometown area of Gothenburg. Bearing in mind Gothenburg having a climbing community almost like the one in Sheffield.

This arête, this prey was no exception.
Situated on the edge of a lake with the trains running in the distance on the other side of the blank, black water. A small streamlet pouring around the corner finding its way to steeper terrain with a more intense sound as a result.

Clapping my hands, watching the chalk slowly rising in the air accomplish by the chirping of the early birds returning from south. Now, concentrate. Present makes perfect. Next go could be it. There is no other place I’d rather be right now. No other thoughts in my mind except, I won’t leave without this.

My window of time was small from the beginning. Being a weekday I had obligations, time was running. I already decided to leave the pad behind to buy me some extra time. Have to come back later.
Come back for what? For the stand, for the sit or for just the pad?

With just a couple of minutes margin for definite terminus I manage to haul my self over the top.

The result: First ascent of Kom inte hit om du vill bli buren / Don’t come around if you want to be carried.

I remember Micha getting offers from other much more RICH companies to leave us and join them and WE TOLD him to go for it for his own sake but he denied and sticked with us. Business between us became just a side effect and friendship the main connection. Proud to have one such strong and honest man with us. Thanks Micha Vanhoudt!

The small pro is climbed now and it is the registered done boulder no 2.000 on Fogo. Now we can call it a bordering area ;) Thanks to the support of blocSyndicate support and the 15 something local climbers during the last 10 years !

These shapes are 30 years old ! I was show by the Belgium climbing legend Francoise Genon (after several beers) in the back-stock of his awesome bouldering gym Belgium Boulder city Salle de bloc some very very dirty and dusty molds from the beginning times. As I found them still quite OK - amazing for the age - decided to pour some blocSyndicate-PU in .... Back then they did not much whining for ergonomic holds, just squeezed the juice out of small crimps. Well they are back again :)

Another newcomer as messenger for new shapes in work. I call them DIZZYs - shaped by the amazing swedish revoluzier Daniel Olausson . Very flat footholds but give with the the scratched surface a very good grip. So they serve very good as holds around corners and slab capabale walls. Primary demand precise footwork but once you have your foot placed actually a good stand. Avilable now. 40 € a set of 10.
