Traveling for the upcoming holiday weekend? U.S. Army Europe put together this helpful infographic to help ensure that your trip goes as smoothly as possible.
Travel Tip: If you are planning to travel to different countries on back-to-back weekends, be sure to check the requirements of ALL countries that you will travel through! Bon voyage! 🧳🚗🚌🚉✈️
Planning a trip soon? If so, please ensure you follow country requirements, as well as unit guidance.
And before you make final plans, please remember that we have seen a recent increase of COVID-19 transmissions not only in countries throughout Europe, but also within our installations. A large number of those cases have been tied to personal travel.
We realize people want to visit new places. However, with COVID-19 rates increasing and entry/exit rules sometimes changing daily from nation to nation, we highly encourage everyone to stay closer to home or visit sites in the country where they are stationed. This helps protect you, your family, your friends and your teammates.
If you must travel, visit the State Department’s COVID-19 Country Specific Information page at https://go.usa.gov/xG4C8. Be sure to check
https://reopen.europa.eu/en to determine re-entry requirements of your host nation. And be prepared to quarantine with any travel and support yourself if stuck in the visiting country for an extended period of time.
Visit www.eur.army.mil/Coronavirus to find links to local/commander's requirements based on the Senior Responsible Officer for your area. Advise your supervisor of any travel by you and family members.
Travel by those in the same household may result in quarantine for the sponsor based on your supervisor's discretion.
And whether you are on the road or at home, please continue the 3 Ws:
*Watch your distance.
*Wash your hands.
*Wear your mask.
