Our 2nd #Gießaktion took place last week. We had in total 35 participants for this time; Each one carried 20 liters of water for about 40 times across a rough forest floor, while carefully distributing 5 liters of water per sapling. Indeed, it was again a successful event thanks to these people who dedicated their valuable time and energy for this tedious work. Thank you so much for your passion and solidarity for taking care of our young forest! It has been our great pleasure to work with every single one of you. 🌱🤝🌿

Thanks to our motivated participants from yesterday, we were able to water half of trees at the #Klimawald site. Join us today (between 09:00 to 13:00) and let’s save our young forest - home of various plants and animals! 🌱🐸

Two months have passed since our 4,799 tree saplings were planted by the passionate 245 participants. So far, our young trees have been able to grow their leaves wide and green, including this beautiful sweet chestnut tree (Esskastanie; Castanea sativa). However, as the 2019 European #heatwave is currently drying out our forest, we are keeping our eyes on the #Klimawald site. Surely, watering the forest could be done to mitigate further water stress, but this would only be possible if we can get some support from people. Stay tuned, and let’s hope that the weather cools down soon with some rain.
