Glienicker bridge opened again for all the traffic.

As everything In Berlin, this bridge symbolized many totally opposite things.

Even the name this bridge got in the GDR era, "Bridge of unity" was completely opposite of the reality.

Hard to believe this peaceful place at the banks of the river Havel was once site where spies from the two blocks were exchanged.

Today this should be a part of your bike tour in Berlin and Potsdam.

Lighthouse nearby town of Ueckermünde, trade mark of this beautiful town and the whole area.

It stands at the west bank of the mouth of the river Uecker (Ukrina?)

It is also good to be seen from the east bank.

This can be reached by following the road to the bathing-beach "Haffbad".

Cycling around the city and the Stettin lagoon is easy and wonderful.

From Berlin to Pasewalk with the train then either biking to the beach Ueckermünde or taking another train to the city of Ueckermünde and then biking.

It's arguably the closest sea beach Berlin.

🚃 Just a little bit over three hours train ride away from Berlin one can get to a wonderful sand dunes of the island of Usedom, Ostsee or Baltic Sea.

🚵 When there, it's highly recommended to bike around the area.

Many nice little villages like the vilage of Zinnowitz.

🏖️ At the Zinnowitz's beach there is no shortage of the famous "Strandkorb" beach chairs.

💺One of the most important symbols of the German "Gemütlichkeit".

As long as the Danish have had hygge, the Germans have had Gemütlichkeit.

The worst or the best car ever?

Trabant.

Here it is, parked forever (?) somewhere in the field In Buckow, Dahme, as an monument to some different era and times.

I can remember how caravan version of this car used to take almost whole football team of teenagers inside, together with their dreams, emotions and lack of any pessimism.
