Parent testimonial from Creative Parenting through Art Play
Peach scattered pieces
inside and out, in rose tint
Tinged with yellow sun.
The yellowness of sunshine to awaken my soul, bring life to the day and movement to the mind, to allow myself, give myself yellow tinged pieces, tiny fragments here that I can choose to hold onto, or discard in the bin. What's the learning here for me? To take away or discard violently shredding thoughts, ideas, or to take the space into the unknown?
To map
my mind
to find comfort
to feel calmer
to re-energise
Allow things to come forth
Islands of let out chaos.
to play, unwind
digest
digress
SPACE.

Family Art Journaling LIVE Online workshop
The Power of CONNECTION for families with kids ages 6+ 🌞✨...that age when school starts in Germany, where independence is growing, can be a challenging time to feel still part of each others worlds. And that’s aside from living together during a global pandemic. One way to be present and regularly ‘check in’ with one another, is to start a creative routine together. From around 15 minutes everyday or very regularly sitting together, sharing tips and ideas, playing games with pens, paint, writing, doodling, splashing ink about, can help calm anxious minds, and help you feel more integrated as a family unit with one another. It can help express thoughts, dreams, experiences, memories and worries in a creative constructive way. Being together with journals around a table, but also having a sense of personal space, vital for these pandemic times. Playful approaches to art journaling support us to stay rooted, recording everyday magic & celebrating imperfections and curiosities. Do you journal as a family? How do you approach it? On Saturday, I will be running a LIVE Family Art Journaling small group workshop sharing techniques, prompts and ideas to build creative journaling into your family routine. Here’s what one participant to the in person variation of our workshop said,“ Loved the opportunity to explore, create and be open to what comes. Excited to take away inspiration for more journaling. To be more open to MESS and let go of perfection.” Scroll to see other lovely feedback. The Last couple of spots are available for Saturday’s workshop online - see more info in the Bio ☝️💥and to book! Let’s start a creative ritual together and strengthen parent & child bonds! ✨🌱🌞#creativefamily #artconnectsus #artjournaling
