International trade fairs such as the World Travel Market - WTM London and the Luxury Travel Fair in Kensington are a great opportunity for us at Lernidee Erlebnisreisen to share our enthusiasm for our extraordinary travel experiences and make plans for the future.

A Contribution to the Community in Laos 🤝❤️

Thanks to the generous support of our guests, we’ve been able to make a real difference! Last year, Christel and Gunter Georgi, guests from Becker Travel Agency, joined us on the Mekong cruise to Laos. Even before their journey, they informed us of their plan to use donations from their personal network for a charitable cause in Laos.

Their initiative made an essential renovation possible in Ban Done Mixay—the village where the Lernidee Foundation had already established a school. The collected funds helped rebuild the much-needed teacher’s residence, providing a proper home for the teacher. 🏫

A heartfelt thank you to the Georgi family and to everyone who contributes with their donations to improving local education opportunities. Together, we can bring about meaningful change in the world!

Research trip to North Karelia 🏞️

Our colleague Jamena-Lee Schreiber from Tuja Reisen was on a FAM trip in Finland at the beginning of October to explore two exceptional hotels from Sokos Hotels for our future summer and winter trips in 2025/26: Break Sokos Hotel Koli in Lieksa and Break Sokos Hotel Bomba in Nurmes.

What makes the hotels so special, apart from breathtaking views and fantastic wellness services?

The Koli Hotel is located on the famous Koli mountain and offers numerous opportunities for nature experiences and adventures, ideal for hiking and relaxing in peaceful surroundings. 🌲

Yes, we did it again: Exactly two decades after the maiden voyage of our first Mekong ship, our Mekong River family is growing once more! And like all proud parents we’re so happy we need to tell everybody about it: Our boutique ships Mekong Sun and Mekong Pearl will be getting a little sister, scheduled date of birth is fall 2025. 🤩

Our first ship on the Laotian part of the Mekong River was and still is a real pioneering feat. Before, there was no way to travel this pristine part of Southeast Asia in comfort and style. A few years later, our little jungle cruise had become so popular that we had to build a second ship. And now, we’re going for a third one - with only 12 cabins and so many upgraded amenities that it’d take forever to tell you here. That’s why we want to meet you at the WTM in London this November — we can’t wait to talk to you all about our many new projects and ideas! We are proud to announce that our Lernidee team successfully participated in the B2Run company run in Berlin last week! 🌟

The Lernidee Front Runners fought their way through the 5.7 km long course and reached the finish line in the Olympic Stadium in a great 408th place (out of over 1,500 teams)! 🎉💪
Whether as runners or Nordic walkers - our team once again proved that we not only stick together in the office, but also on the running track.

We are introducing the Mekong Star: A New Era of Boutique River Cruising 🌟🚢

We’re excited to announce that in celebration of 20 years of pioneering river cruises on the Mekong, Lernidee Erlebnisreisen is expanding its fleet with the Mekong Star. Starting from Autumn 2025, this brand-new boutique cruise ship will set sail on the northern Mekong, offering unparalleled comfort and exclusivity.

Designed to carry up to 24 guests, the Mekong Star combines traditional design with modern luxury. Each cabin, ranging from 21 to 39 square meters, features a private balcony. Guests can enjoy the ship's spacious outdoor areas, including a bar, a sun deck, a spa, and a restaurant that serves local culinary delights prepared by a highly skilled crew.

Bookings are now open for 2025 journeys through some of Southeast Asia's most scenic and culturally rich regions, from Vientiane to Luang Prabang and the Golden Triangle.
