Rico and Arne, the founders of surf.holiday, met in France on a surf holiday back in 2011 – what else would you expect ;). Rico has been working in tourism for over 15 years now, he’s been a tour guide and team leader at various surf camps, and is therefore very familiar with the world of surf holidays. Arne is an expert in IT and web design. Over the years, the two have worked on different projects, always with the idea in mind that they will eventually create their own travel platform for surfing and SUP lovers. The idea was to create a platform for every user - be it a beginner or advanced, single or couple, with friends or family - that offers the best and largest overview: surf camps, surf schools and accommodations and everything about the sport of surfing, Kite and windsurfing as well as stand up paddle.
At the beginning of 2019 the time had come: surf.holiday went online 🎉. In the first year, the platform grew continuously, more and more providers were added and the booking curve rose steeply. In early 2020, Hanna joined the team as a reinforcement. She also comes from tourism and helps you with questions about products or the setting of offers on the websites and takes care of everything that has to do with social media.
