Dramatically sited on a small island at the mouth of Loch Laich, Castle Stalker (Stalcaire in Gaelic, meaning ‘hunter’ or ‘falconer’) is a tall, massive and simple tower, rectangular in plan, of four storeys and a garret. A flush parapet was remodelled in the 16th century, and a gabled caphouse crowns the stair. The thick walls are pierced by shot-holes, testimony to its proud military past.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Situado espectacularmente en una pequeña isla en la boca de Loch Laich, el Castillo Stalker (Stalcaire en gaélico, que significa "cazador" o "halconero") es una torre alta, ma**za y simple, de planta rectangular, de cuatro pisos y una atalaya. Un parapeto empotrado fue añadido en el siglo XVI, y un cobertizo a dos aguas corona la escalera. Las gruesas paredes están perforadas por agujeros de cañón, testimonio de su orgulloso pasado militar.🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
