Castle constructions

The construction work on the Schwanstein took several hundred construction workers, craftsmen for more than 17 years. Added to this are the forces of the suppliers, hauliers, farmers and other indirectly involved parties.
Up to 300 workers are said to have been involved in the construction, in 1880, 209 builders were involved. Worked day and night.
The "Association of Craftsmen at the Royal Palace of Hohenschwangau"
Der „Verein der Handwerker am königichen Schloßbau zu Hohenschwangau“ insured sick and injured construction workers during their illness. Their wages continued to be paid for up to 15 days.
