I recently had the opportunity to meet a nice couple while they were cruising on a Viking cruise ship along the River Main - we met in Aschaffenburg where I picked them up and drove them to a small town where their German relatives waited to unite with them and while they got to know each other for the first time as their ancestors came from the same place, we visited their German homes, made beautiful memories and shared lunch together before I drove them back to their next docking station where they continued their cruise…

Are you cruising on the Rhein, Moselle or Main River in Germany and know your ancestors came from a town nearby any docking stations? Why not take the opportunity and visit your forefather’s hometown with an experienced local guide?
