Fast Lanes von Lufthansa fallen Personalmangel zum Opfer
Vielflieger der Lufthansa müssen sich ab sofort in den normalen Warteschlangen vor den Sicherheitskontrollen einreihen. Wegen Überlastung der Mitarbeiter bleibe derzeit kein Spielraum, die sogenannten Fast Lanes aufrecht zu erhalten, durch die vor allem eilige Geschäftsreisende schnell an der Touristenschlange vorbeihuschen konnten. Vielflieger sollten längere Wartezeiten einplanen, so Lufthansa. (Spiegel)

Lufthansa und SWISS Passagiere, die den günstigen Economy Light-Tarif gebucht haben, erhalten beim Check-in automatisch einen Sitzplatz zugewiesen. Ab 21. Juni 2022 (Datum der Ticketausstellung) ist eine Änderung des Sitzplatzes im Online Check-in Prozess nur noch gegen eine streckenabhängige Gebühr (ab 25 €) möglich. Dabei können alle Sitzplätze ausgewählt werden, unabhängig von der Sitzplatzkategorie (Standardsitz, bevorzugte Sitzplatzzone, Sitz mit mehr Beinfreiheit), sofern diese noch verfügbar sind. Reisende mit einem Economy Light-Tarif, die bereits vorab einen Sitzplatz gebucht haben, können diesen beim Check-in innerhalb der gebuchten Sitzplatzkategorie nach wie vor kostenlos ändern.

Diese Änderung gilt für Kurz- und Mittelstreckenflüge, die von Lufthansa (LH) und SWISS (LX) durchgeführt werden* – und betrifft auch HON Circle Member und Senatoren. Familien mit Kindern, Gruppenreisende und Reisende in einem PNR werden wie bereits heute wann immer möglich zusammengesetzt.

Der Classic Tarif, der die Sitzplatzreservierung beinhaltet, kostet hin und zurueck nur 40 Euro mehr, ist also sinnvoller.

It will have been 4 weeks on Monday (28 Feb 22) that we closed our shop; after exactly 27 years. Since we did not have people come in to the shop for over a decade it made perfect sense to give it up now and save the unnecessary cost.

If you're traveling on AirSerbia (we try to avoiding them) and you're on an inexpensive fare....if you do not check in online they will charge you with a 30 Euro penalty when trying to check in at the airport.

For those of you who are unlucky enough having to go through the ordeal of flying with Eurowings/Germanwings, here's another addition to the impertinence is treating their customers with.
One wonders why they call it low cost, it's probably because they don't offer any convenience, there's not enough room to mention all the disadvantages. Most importantly the often outrages fares are what make it a mere joke to call it 'low cost'.

Now they are reducing minimum-check-in-time to
40 minutes (including online-check-in)
by reason of needing those 40 minutes to better organize their ground processes. Well...if they were the least bit organized to begin with, all that crap would not be necessary.
In the end they don't care the least bit about you, the customer,
they only focus on their own sensitivities.

discontinues its flights between Barcelona and Frankfurt as of 6 March 2017
It is to be expected that will raise the fares (easily double or even more) and minimum-stay requirements will worsen like they did for flights to Vienna when airberlin and Adria Airways discontinued their flights.
So if you have Barcelona on your list - book it soon!

Maybe it makes sense to disregard for future travel until an agreement with their employees has been settled.
We no longer recommend traveling with the Lufthansa Group.
Especially with the sincere deterioration of the Miles & More program since November of 2014 it is time to give up your loyalty.

Don't let yourself be misled by a statement from the 8 c'lock news that flights by will be operating mostly normal tomorrow, November 13th. That is pure non-sense! There's a handful of Lufthansa but mostly City Line flights operating, that's it.

Hoffen wir mal, dass sich da auch noch andre Laender anschliessen. Ich habe davon gehoert, in Deutschland soll es auch Reiserbueroverbaende geben, aber die verbringen wohl ihre Zeit mit dem Errechnen der Gehaelter ihrer Angestellten.

Eine neue Service-Pauschale der Lufthansa-Gruppe für Reiseveranstalter sorgt für Unmut. Der Schweizer Reise-Verband hat deshalb entschieden, die Airline zu verklagen.

Delta kündigt Interlinekooperation mit American: Daher können keine Tickets mehr ausgestellt werden, die Flugsegmente beider Carrier kombinieren. Auch Umbuchungen auf die jeweils andere Gesellschaft wegen verspäteter oder gestrichener Flüge sind nicht mehr möglich. Gegroundet hat 130 Mitglieder des Kabinenpersonals, weil ihr Body Mass Index zu hoch ist. Die Airline greift zu dieser drastischen Maßnahme, nachdem sie im letzten Jahr 600 ihrer 3.500 Flugbegleiter zum Abspecken angehalten und ihnen mit Jobs am Boden gedroht hatte. 130 von ihnen hat es jetzt erwischt.

Damit ist wohl auch der erste Schritt hin zum Passagier-Wiegen eingeleitet. Mal schauen, ob nicht hier vielleicht diesmal der Kranich einer Ryanair zeigt, was so alles moeglich ist?

Verdi ruft für heute zum Warnstreik im Berliner -Callcenter auf: Die Gewerkschaft will damit ihrer Forderung nach mehr Gehalt Nachdruck verleihen. Bei den 480 Mitarbeitern des Kundenzentrums 'Lufthansa In Touch' laufen die Fäden des weltweiten Kundenservice zusammen.

Yeeeeeah, finally.... the new fare structure at starting on October 1....when the word 'flexible' yet holds a whole new meaning. True: fares are coming down - but...if you want to book a ticket you can cancel free of charge, London will cost you € 1711 (no typo). Even if you book full Y inventory the so called 'flexible' level of € 1142 has a penalty of € 120 for cancelling. And there will be more surprises.....you didn't really think they were letting you get away with a better deal, DID YOU?
The more you support this carrier becoming stronger the more they will take advantage and in the end you and us will be the losers. So think twice.

Dear - now that you're following more or less every step of companies like (when only a few years ago you heavily complained and stated you wouldn't ever consider such a practice)...we suggest you also look into charging different fees for a bag in low or high season. There's so much room to further annoy your customers (and trade partners): go for it!
