The beautiful Karen Blixen Camp!
With 22 large luxury canvas tents – each set on a beautiful wooden platform with a spacious verandah. ✨

On the cushion daybed one can enjoy an afternoon siesta, taking in the wonderful surroundings. All tents are placed with undisturbed view along the Mara River giving unique and private game viewing to the Oloololo Escarpment and its rich wildlife.
The camp is carefully located opposite a much favored drinking spot. The bank of Mara River curves gently down in an open sandy bed and gives the wild animals an easy access to the mineral rich soil and the river water.

Most people go on safari for the animals, but for me landscape is equally important. It’s the scenery that really sets Samburu apart from other reserves in Kenya.
The diversity of the savannah, forests and mountains is a beautiful combination, and it’s exciting to have land-forms on the horizon rather than just miles and miles of grassland plains.

Meet the wonderful ladies of Twala Tenebo
Twala’ is a Maasai word for a bell. ‘Tenebo’ means come together. In 2007, the “bell rang” as a symbol of calling the Maasai women to action for their capacity enhancement. ✨

They joined hands and established a cultural center together. The centre works towards empowering women to work for themselves and preserve the rich cultural and historic heritage of the local Maasai people.

An elephant lovers delight 😍🐘

The Hildana Lodge lies in the heart of the Tsavo elephant corridor which links Lake Jipe in Tsavo West with the Galana River in Tsavo East. That said, elephants are the highlight of a stay at Hildana making it perfect for those with a passion for these gentle giants. The sanctuary is also home to less commonly seen wildlife such as endangered cheetahs and African wild dogs and many other species.
