Notre-Dame is Back and open to the public starting from TODAY!

After 5 years of meticulous restoration, the iconic Notre-Dame Cathedral has reopened its doors. Here are three things to know as you plan your visit:

1️⃣ From lasers for cleaning soot to enhanced fire alarms and sprinklers, cutting-edge technology has been combined with traditional techniques to restore the cathedral’s grandeur.

2️⃣ Over 1,000 oak trees were harvested to recreate the original roof structure, while stone masons replaced 35,000 cubic feet of limestone to rebuild the spire and buttresses authentically.

3️⃣ New Visitor Rules: Entry remains free, but timed reservations are highly recommended to avoid long waits. Special exhibits celebrate 861 years of history during this reopening week! (Current online wait time is 40 minutes!)
