REOPENING OF DEVIL'S THROAT TRAIL IN IGUAZU FALLS NATIONAL PARK
The Devil's Throat trail in Iguazu National Park, located on the Argentine side, is set to reopen on July 13th. The trail had been out of operation since October 2023, when a historic flood caused significant damage.
The trail, which leads to one of the most spectacular viewpoints of the Iguazu Falls, has been eagerly anticipated. The enhanced safety measures and improvements are expected to provide a better and safer experience for tourists, reaffirming the trail's status as a must-visit attraction in the region.
Access to Devil's Throat Station is by train, starting from the Visitor Center. From there, visitors must walk 550 meters (1800 ft), one way, to reach the viewpoint. The walkway over the river is made of metal railings connecting pillars, passing through small islands and Atlantic Forest vegetation, from where you can see fish, turtles and other animals.
In addition to the Devil's Throat, two other panoramic trails can be followed by visitors to the Iguazú National Park: the Upper Circuit, which passes over some falls, and the Lower Circuit, which winds along the river bank. With the reopening, we recommend offering the Full Day Argentine Side Tour so visitors can have a complete experience in the Iguazu National Park.
