Whenever people ask me for an idea of where to take their family in Germany, I always recommend Berchtesgaden and Königsee. We’ve taken many different guests there over the years and it is one of my favorite places in Bavaria. Do you love beautiful scenery? Mountains and water? Cows roaming and grazing in meadows? History? Painted buildings? Berchtesgaden has it all and more. There’s even a salt mine tour you can take! Let’s make your alpine itinerary today. 😊
I know the Mediterranean gets a lot of love, but the Adriatic always leaves me starry-eyed. From Bari on down to Otranto, the southeastern coastline of Puglia is a turquoise-water paradise. These scenes are specific to the Salento region, right on the heel of the boot of Italy. If you want to avoid the crowds in Amalfi, then this is your place!
Happy Friday Eve!! Let me show you how to spend three fabulous days on the Amalfi coast: tour a lemon grove, eat the best food at the dreamiest locations, explore coastal Italian towns, take a boat to Capri, and more.
Have you ever been to Amalfi coast? What was your favorite part? If you haven’t, is it on your bucket list?
Don’t miss visiting Monastery Saint-Paul de Mausole in St. Remy when you make your trip to see the lavender fields. This is where Van Gogh created 143 paintings, including some of his most famous works during his year there. Prints of his art dot the property, immersing you in his experience. The monastery maintains a sacred and peaceful feeling; you feel heartache for the pain Van Gogh experienced and awe at the beauty he created from it. It is well worth taking a couple of hours to walk around.
I’m currently working on a plan for a family of four to go to Ireland this summer. To help me plan, I went back through the photos of the trip we just took this last March to the Emerald Isle. All of these were from just one day of driving around Killarney National Park! Let me know if you’re going soon, I have some lessons learned and fabulous spots not to miss. 🍀❤️
I'm not the best at making videos, but thankfully I have friends who can! We all have our strengths, and I think mine is figuring out an amazing vacation. 😉
Fun fact: I can't NOT get in the water on a trip. It's my happy place and it doesn't matter if it's too early/late in the season and freezing.😆 What are some of your must-do's? I know some people love to visit McDonalds abroad to see the different offerings. 😄 Maybe you like to make a stop in the grocery store to see all the local fare? Are you a hop-on/hop-off or a walking tour kind of traveler? Tell me!
