🇫🇮 Damn it’s vegan! 🌱
Junk y Vegan is much more than your average vegan place. Dedicated to showing us that vegan food is much more than beans and lettuce without counting the calories. 🍔
And why not try the local 8-Bit Brews to go with your food. ☕
Apart from their obvious “no beef default,” TripDoodler travelers have also acknowledged their no single-use plastic practice and community impact. ♻️👥

🇸🇬 Sometimes the craving for Latin street food just hits. 🌮 Also, when at Jewel Changi Airport in Singapore.
At Tonito Latin American Kitchen, a selection of Mexican quesadillas, Argentinian pastas, as well as Peruvian stews is served. 🍝

🇮🇩 When Nikoi Private Island (Nikoi Island) was first rated on TripDoodler, we were very impressed. 😍
Not only is this beautiful Island resort a little piece of heaven, they have also gone out of their way on the sustainability scale… ♻️
Responsible tourism is their DNA and this is visible from small choices like LED lights to their more strategic choice to be a member of The Long Run.

🇩🇪 The general perception is that the more sustainable option is also more expensive. 💰
Hotel Motel One in Berlin proves this wrong. With a strong commitment not only to environmental 🌿 but also social sustainability 🤝, the list of more sustainable practices they have implemented is long. And location is great 🏨 & the rates are low! 📉 What’s not to like. 😄
TripDoodler travelers really like the option to opt out of cleaning. 🧹

🇯🇴 Without question, the best falafel in all of Jordan can be found at Hashem Restaurant (Hashem Restaurant Down Town Amman)! 🥙 They serve legendary local Jordanian street food at very affordable prices. 🍽️ Famous for their falafel, but don’t miss out on their Fateh with almonds 🌰.
Hashem Restaurant is on a journey to be more sustainable from a climate and environmental perspective ♻️, but this is weighed up fully by their “No meat first” approach 🌱, their dedication to local food 🥗, and their positive community impact 👫

🇬🇷 Noel’s location in Athens makes it easy to reach by any transportation 🚆🚕. The bar serves really nice pizzas 🍕 combined with well-selected wines 🍷 & drinks 🍹. But the best is really the vibe and the people 👥.
TripDoodler travelers have acknowledged them for their local food 🍽️ and vegan/vegetarian options 🌱 being available. 🌱🥗🍅

How do you make an enjoyable outdoor company event?
If you are an impact start-up that also does a bit of boot-strapping, then you can use the opportunity to make your city more pleasant and welcoming. 🧹😄
In one hour of fun garbage-hunting we collected 22 kg of trash. We ended the day with delicious food, nice wine and a Copenhagen all-weather picnic. 🥂😄
Thanks to Dråben i havet - Gør en forskel for the nice gear and for the inspiration🙏❤️

Known as the “Troll of Northwest Iceland,” Hvítserkur is a towering sea stack eroded from volcanic rock. It’s a wonderful site to see, especially in the summer when birds nest on it. 🤩
Legend has it that Hvítserkur is actually a petrified troll that wanted to tear down nearby church bells. When the sun shined down on the troll, it turned to stone and churches could continue making music. 🎶
Though this massive rock formation lies at the end of a very long, bumpy road, most tourists say it is well worth ths drive. 💙

Sitting atop the bucket lists of thousands of travelers are Norway’s fjords like gorgeous Lysefjorden. However, to preserve these landscapes requires the help of us all, making sustainable choices together. 🦋
Active in the Marine World Heritage Network, the west fjords in Norway are setting new standards for marine conservation. Norwegian parliament recently declared they will only permit zero-emission electric ferries in the region beginning 2026! 🏔
Individual travelers like us can help too. Whether forgoing the pollutant cruise line for an electric one, choosing to hike the fjords, or picking up trash you see along the route, our collective impact keeps sacred the natural Norwegian beauty for the next generation. ☺️

Slot canyons are true natural gems, formed over millions of years as water pours through rock. 🏜
The United States is home to numerous slot canyons, many of which lie on Navajo land. The Navajo people regard canyons like these as holy, symbolizing the power of Mother Nature. ⭐️
If you are lucky enough to see these canyons, consider how you can make sustainable choices - leave no trace behind on the environment and support businesses run by the Navajo nation themselves. After all, these tours give you the most authentic look into the cultural significance of slot canyons. 🧡

We all want to , but how can we do that? 🐠
It starts with coral reefs. With more than 25% of all marine species calling these reefs home, it is up to us as travelers to protect these precious habitats. As with anything, sustainability begins with an individual choice…
Here are 5 ways you can help conserve coral reefs:
1. Don’t feed the fish you encounter - let them feed on the natural sources found in the reefs.🐟
2. Pack for your trip with sustainability in mind, avoiding harsh chemicals and single use plastics that could harm the reefs.💧
3. Don’t step on coral reefs! They are animals - not plants. 🦶🏽
4. Avoid buying coral souvenirs - removing these can disrupt the natural habitat of reefs. 🐚
5. Take nothing but pictures, leave nothing but bubbles ☺️

Bike To Work Day
Did you know switching your car for cycling once a day could reduce your carbon footprint by the equivalent of driving 1,200 miles in a year?
Cycling has many positive benefits to society from a health, environment and social perspective. Less pollution is generated and less forests are cleared in the production of bikes compared to cars. Cyclists physical and mental health is improved from better sleeping to lower blood pressure. And cycling production, tourism and services, such as the creation of bike lanes, contributes to local economic growth.
There are over 2 billion bikes in use around the word. Imagine the global impact we'd have if each person swapped one car ride for a bike every day.
At TripDoodler, we've always believed in the power of small changes changing the world. And for us, that means biking to work not only today, on #BikeToWorkDay, but everyday, and when we travel too, so that we can reduce our carbon footprint and contribute to a better tomorrow.
Will you commit to cycling once a day?
#nationalbikemonth #cycling
Our vision at TripDoodler is a future of travel, where all travel choices have a consideration of sustainability.
Our mission is simply to make it easy for all travelers to make sustainable travel choices.
We have therefore built a platform that helps online travel planners to find, plan, organize, rate and share their travel in a - by travelers for travelers - community.
The rhetoric often is “If you want to travel sustainably - stay home”.
But people travel.
And they should. We believe that people meeting people opens a new world and we don't just grow as an individual, but also as a community.
But we travelers all make far too few sustainable travel choices!
Our dream is that TripDoodler is only the start of our journey towards a more sustainable world of travel.
