Did you know that FRS Iberia/Maroc is now part of DFDS? We are thrilled to unveil another ship in our fleet now sporting our signature colours. 🙌

Sailing daily between Algeciras, Spain, and Tanger Med, Morocco, the Tanger Express completes the trip in just 1.5 hours. 🌊

Our ferry can host more than 1000 passengers and has room for 340 vehicles. 🚗

DFDS has joined the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower to support people with disabilities that may not be immediately visible, such as autism, dementia, mental health issues or learning difficulties. 🌻

People can choose to wear a lanyard bearing a Sunflower logo as a subtle way of letting others know that they have a non-visible disability and may require additional support, assistance or a bit more time.

DFDS sells Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route to Gotlandsbolaget.

We have today announced that we will sell the Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route to Gotlandsbolaget.

The vessels Pearl Seaways and Crown Seaways and all operations, crew and staff will be part of Gotlandsbolaget with a target date of 31st October 2024.

The route will continue to operate as normal both before and after October 2024. If you already have a booking, your ticket will remain valid, and you can enjoy the wonderful experience of the Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen crossings. The Oslo-Frederikshavn-Copenhagen route has always been part of DFDS, and it is not an easy decision to part ways with the route.

However, DFDS has grown and developed significantly over the years and today, we operate within transport and logistics across more than 20 countries and while we still focus on passengers, it is more from a transportation need perspective than a passenger experience perspective.

We as DFDS will be very sad to say goodbye to the route but are delighted that Gotlandsbolaget will take on this iconic route as they will be better suited to develop the experience of this route into the future to benefit both staff and passengers.

🧜 We need your help! 🧜‍

Early this morning, several reports emerged from onboard our Pearl Seaways vessel, with further accounts from both fishermen and coastal residents near Denmark, detailing an extraordinary sighting that has both locals and experts puzzled. 😲

According to eyewitnesses, a figure resembling historical accounts of mermaids was spotted in the waters beneath the famous Kronborg Castle, sparking intrigue and wonder. 🏰

Denmark, with its rich maritime history and storied folklore, has long been the backdrop for tales of merfolk. However, today’s reports bring a new level of curiosity to these legends. One of the accounts describes seeing “a commotion in the water” before “a red-haired woman with a scaly tail” appeared for a few seconds, whilst a couple of snaps submitted by a DFDS crew member on deck show a fin-like shape protruding from the water. 🤓

Marine biologists are currently seeking to understand the nature of this phenomenon and we’re reaching out to the community for assistance. If you were in the area and have any photographs, videos, or additional observations of this sighting, we urge you to share them with us. Your input could be invaluable in shedding light on this mystery. 📸

Meet Côte D'Opale, the youngest of our three ships under the French flag on the Dover-Calais route 🌊 Let's get to know it a little better...
