The Arctic Council is a unique international body that was created with a vision for a peaceful, sustainable Arctic with the involvement of all Arctic States and Indigenous Peoples.
It was established in a unique historic frame and throughout the years, it has developed into the preeminent body dealing with Arctic issues.
It has gone through many development stages, lived through times of uncertainty, and achieved milestones for the region that would not have been possible without the Arctic Council.
