Ever done a pub crawl in Bangkok's Chinatown? If not, now is the time. Quirky townhouses have been converted into design-conscious bars with a theme. At Soul Bar it's, well, soul music and great cocktails. At Tep Bar, it's the world of Thai spirits. And there's more to it. Southern Thailand boasts some incredible hotels. One of the most stunning locations is that of Centara Grand Beach Resort in Krabi. It's wrapped in towering limestone cliffs and bottle green foliage. The only visible neighbors are monkeys which are sure to pay you a visit. In fact, they frequently jump onto the balconies and say hi. The best thing, however, is the view across Phang Nga Bay. It's uninterrupted and brings to life any pirate fantasy you might subconsciously harbor.

And thanks Douglas for staring in the video...without getting choked

Off the radar, says Keith. And I agree. The defunct police station in Sattahip is an extraordinary kitchen these days. Doing standard Thai dishes, which don't need any added seasoning. The Pad Thai is especially tasteful. This is worth a detour. Want to know how to get off the radar and into the world of authentic Thai food elsewhere in the Kingdom? Just ask
And a short video to prove the point: It doesn't rain- it pours
