🍩 Fastelavnsboller – The Sweet Taste of Danish Carnival 🎭

Once a year, during Fastelavn—the Danish version of Carnival—bakeries across Denmark are filled with the irresistible scent of Fastelavnsboller. These traditional sweet buns, dating back to the 18th century, were originally simple pastries filled with custard, but over time, they have evolved into elaborate creations with whipped cream, jam, marzipan, and chocolate. 🍓🍫

Fastelavn is primarily a children’s celebration, featuring “slå katten af tønden”, a game where kids take turns hitting a wooden barrel filled with candy until it breaks open. Once upon a time, a real cat was placed inside as a superstition to ward off evil spirits—thankfully, today, only a paper cat decorates the barrel! 🐱🍬

Fastelavnsboller are a seasonal delight, available only during Carnival, making them an eagerly awaited treat every year. Whether you prefer the classic version with custard or the modern, extravagant variations, tasting one is an essential part of celebrating Fastelavn in Denmark! 🇩🇰

✨ Empowering change with SolarBuddy 🌍

We had the privilege of offering our clients a unique team-building experience during their meeting in Denmark: the SolarBuddy workshop. Through this hands-on activity, they learned about the challenges faced by children in developing countries who live without access to electricity—and how even small actions can make a big difference.

👫 The workshop began with an activity where one participant was blindfolded to simulate the darkness these children endure daily, while their partner guided them to build a solar lamp. This powerful moment of teamwork and empathy brought the lesson to life.

Each solar lamp created will be sent to children in need, providing not just light, but opportunities for learning and a brighter future. 💡

This experience also sparked conversations on how we can all live more sustainably. Our clients shared ideas on reducing waste and energy in their companies—proof that sustainability is something we can all strive for, starting today.
