Michelinstjerne middagen og Halloween-show i Palais Coburgs kasematter?

Mozart was born 27th January 1756. His music has been played non-stop for a quarter of a millennia.
Our group had ‘das Mozart haus’ in Vienna to ourselves the evening of 30th September last year. Here, we were treated to a piano concert, with Richard Tauber as the pianist, playing pieces written by Mozart in the very same house. For Mozart-experts: What is the name of this work?
A good weekend to you all.
Parnassos.dk was at a partner event last Tuesday, arranged by the Esterházy palace in Austria – the same palace that we have rented 29th September for our trip to Vienna.
The Esterházy estate owns a discontinued quarry and has converted it into an opera with 5,000 seats. Here, we attended the Nabucco opera by Giuseppe Verdi. The last guest arrived in the middle of the 2nd act: A full moon became part of the show. Spectacular. Enjoy the last moments of the 1st act.
Musica Non Grata
The Czech Opera House is, I'm sure you'll agree, one of the most beautiful theatres in Europe.
The 'Musica Non Grata' event last week was a hymn to especially Czech/Jewish composers who suffered greatly during the Nazi occupation. On the program was the 'Trio for Violin, Viola and Cello' (1944) by Gideon Klein. About a week after he had finished the work, he was sent to Auschwitz and was gassed either the same day or the day after he arrived. Impossible not to have that in mind while you listen to the music. Poignant.
There are so many instruments from the past that are no longer in use. Many with rather exotic sounds. Ever heard of the glass harmonica?
It was introduced towards the end of the 18th century by the Vienna theologist and father of the hypnosis, Franz Anton Messmer, as the sounds of the instrument was in contact with a special field with healing powers that surrounded our planet.
For some reason the modern medical profession has discarded this theory.
The dollhouse is to be found in the Händel museum in Halle, Germany.
One Minute of Bach on Glass in Budapest
Der var ikke tale om mere end 5-6 sekunder i Alte Oper i Frankfurt
