The house was built in 2008 and is in quiet country surroundings, 100m from Roskilde fjord. The house has 3 terraces - 2 with garden furniture, there is also a boat jetty with a 4x4m platform with a table with 2 benches. There is under floor heating in the house. The ground floor comprises of a good sized bathroom with a shower, 2 double bedrooms each with access to their own terrace. On the first
floor there is a modern kitchen with a dishwasher, convection oven and ceramic stove. There is an open sitting room which has a TV / digital parabol. In addition there is a little open loft room with room for 2 to sleep (ideal for children) where there is a 32” LCD TV with a PlayStation2 with 9 games. There is also an WiFi internet connection and an Apple IMAC computer. There is also a washing machine and a tumble dryer. This unique holiday house is not in a typical summer house area, instead it is in an isolated scenic spot at the end of a dead-end road. The road to the house winds past a farm and a wood-side. The historical town of Roskilde is one of Denmark's oldest towns, and is absolutely worth visiting - it is rich in history and cultural attractions. The beautiful Roskilde cathedral is the burial place for the Danish kings and queens. Roskilde fjord can be experienced on-board a Viking ship or from one of the modern sightseeing cruise boats. It is a great experience to sail between islets and streams and along wood-sides with their rich wild bird-life. Roskilde harbour buzzes with activity. Near the harbour is an old gas-work, which has been converted to an art gallery and workshop for artists. In the town centre there is a market place with lively trade. Culture flourishes all year round and the town is well-known for its active music life. Furthermore, the house is only a 45 min. drive from Copenhagen.
